Space bean
The space telescope Hubble photographed this star formation region situated in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a dwarf galaxy neighbouring our own at a distance of 180,000 light years. Its appearance in an amateur telescope led to this star nursery being nicknamed the “bean nebula”!
