The last train
This rail convoy that can be seen crossing the Indian River near to Florida’s Kennedy Space Center is transporting the last segments that are to be used for assembling the two solid rocket boosters for the space shuttle mission known as STS-335. In actual fact, Atlantis will only be blasting off if, during the STS-134 mission, Endeavour has been damaged such that it is unable to bring its crew safely back to Earth. These booster segments are therefore most likely to be the last to be delivered.

This is the mythical rocket par excellence, the one that launched Sputnik, the first satellite and Gagarin, the first man in space. The CSG, Guiana Space Centre, is now one of its launch bases: a historic achievement.
