Happening soon! Representatives from the European Space Agency, the CNES or French Space Agency, Roscosmos or Russian Space Agency and the company Arianespace that make up the advisory committee were symbolically gathered together on 11 May 2010 in front of the launch pad from where the Russian Soyuz rockets are soon (before the end of 2010, all being well) to be blasting off from the CSG, Guiana Space Centre.

Soyuz in Guiana

This is the mythical rocket par excellence, the one that launched Sputnik, the first satellite and Gagarin, the first man in space. The CSG, Guiana Space Centre, is now one of its launch bases: a historic achievement.
Star Trek and NASA

Alan Shepard, from suborbital to the Moon
