Ganymede by Galileo
On 20 May 2000, 10 years ago to the day, the Galileo probe made its 28th flyby of Jupiter’s moon, Ganymede. Galileo was launched by the space shuttle Atlantis in October 1989. Atlantis is currently in orbit for its final mission, STS-132.
