The astronauts’ assistant
Constructed by the European company Thales Alenia Space for the European Space Agency, the purpose of the EGP, Eurobot Ground Prototype, is to test robotic solutions which could be used as part of manned missions. This vehicle could, for example, survey Lunar or Martian soil in order to prepare the infrastructures required for accommodating astronauts (construction of a base) and then assist them during their EVA (Extra Vehicular Activities).

  • Soyuz in Guiana

This is the mythical rocket par excellence, the one that launched Sputnik, the first satellite and Gagarin, the first man in space. The CSG, Guiana Space Centre, is now one of its launch bases: a historic achievement.
